Our Special Support Services are designed to provide individualized support for children with additional needs, enabling them to participate fully in our programs while developing confidence, independence, and meaningful relationships.
We understand that every child is unique. That's why we work closely with families to create personalized support plans that build on each child's strengths while meeting their individual needs.

We support children with a variety of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental and learning disabilities, speech and language delays, sensory processing differences, physical disabilities, and social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
Our individualized, child-centred approach ensures every child receives the support they need to learn, play, grow, and thrive in a safe, inclusive, and Christ-centred environment.

Our experienced Special Support Counsellors provide compassionate, child-centred, and trauma-informed support that focuses on each child's individual strengths and abilities.

Step by step
How Our Special Support Services Work

Complete the Intake Form
Parents or caregivers begin by completing our Special Support Intake Form. This helps us understand your child's strengths, interests, routines, support needs, medical information, and any strategies that help them succeed.
Providing detailed information allows our team to develop the most appropriate support plan before your child begins attending.

Family Consultation
Once we receive your completed intake form, a member of our Special Support Team will contact you to arrange a phone call, virtual meeting, or in-person consultation.
During this meeting we will:
- Learn about your child's strengths and interests
- Discuss your family's goals and expectations
- Review existing support plans or therapies
- Answer any questions about our programs
- Determine the level of support that best meets your child's needs
This collaborative process ensures that Kovenant Kids is the right fit for your child and family.

Individual Support Plan
If everyone agrees to move forward, we will develop an Individual Support Plan tailored specifically to your child.
Support may include:
- One-to-one support (where required)
- Shared support
- Communication strategies
- Behaviour support
- Social skills development
- Emotional regulation strategies
- Sensory accommodations
- Structured routines and visual supports
- Assistance during recreational and educational activities
Our plans are flexible and are reviewed regularly to ensure your child continues to receive the support they need.

Welcome Visit
Before your child's first day, families are invited to arrange a Welcome Visit.
During this visit, your child can:
- Meet their Special Support Counsellor
- Explore the environment
- Become familiar with daily routines
- Participate in activities
- Build confidence before starting
This gentle transition helps children feel comfortable, safe, and excited to join Kovenant Kids.

Throughout your child's time with us, we provide:
- Regular communication with families
